ASM GM 2010 - High bacterial counts in Canadian bottled water

A C-crest study finds heterotrophic bacteria counts in more than 70 percent of bottled water samples exceed the recommended limits specified by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP).

  1. This is an amazing story, and I'm looking forward to know how it ends. That is, I'm curious about the identity of the bacteria and, of course, the source of contamination -- and why the water companies didn't notice the problem...
