Members of Texas A&M University's Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology were on the UTMB campus taking samples to determine the health of the palm trees. Dr. Kevin Ong, director of TAMUs Texas Plant Disease Diagnostic Laboratory in conjunction with Texas AgriLife Extension Service, and Dr. Don Wilkinson, professor in TAMUs Department of Horticultural Sciences, explain what they are doing and show how you take samples from a palm tree.
