Now a real lab has concocted a similar method of studying molecules using augmented reality. Arthur Olsen's Molecular Graphics Lab at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California has combined 3D printing of virus segments with strategically placed webcam targets to innovate the practice of virus research.
