Alzheimer's might be transmissible in similar way as infectious prion diseases

This study, from the University of Texas, injected mice brains with brain tissue from an Alzheimer's disease patient.. The mice developed Alzheimer's disease pathology . This confirms many suspicions concerning a role for infectious agents - for example herpes simplex, as long advocated by Ruth Itzhaki http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed?Db=pubmed&DbFrom=pubmed&Cmd=Link&LinkName=pubmed_pubmed&IdsFromResult=18328007 or spirochetes and treponemes (see recent data from Judith Miklossy http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed?db=pubmed&cmd=link&linkname=pubmed_pubmed&uid=21816039 .
Many of the key genes involved in Alzheimer's disease are also related to pathogen life cycles and the immune system http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ijad/aip/501862/
