ICAAC: Smoke Clearing for Viral Theory of Chronic Fatigue

Within a year, the debate over whether a mouse virus causes chronic fatigue syndrome is likely to be settled, a prominent researcher told MedPage Today in an exclusive InFocus video interview here at the Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy.

Two teams have now claimed to have isolated sequences from murine leukemia viruses, including XMRV, from most patients with chronic fatigue syndrome, but several other research groups have been unable to confirm the findings.
