Dr. Shipley is the director of the Quantitative Genomics Core Laboratory where they have been performing and optimizing assays for qPCR for the last 13 years. He is one of the world’s foremost experts in PCR and qPCR analysis and has numerous invited lectures and book chapters on all issues of PCR. Most recently, Dr. Shipley along with a group of other distinguished scientists, including our first speaker in this series, Carl Wittwer, published a paper in January of 2009 called “The MIQE Guidelines: Minimum information for publication of quantitative real-time PCR experiments.” The goal of this effort is to encourage better experimental practice, allowing for more reliable and unequivocal interpretation of qPCR results.
This seminar is designed for both authors and reviewers to allow for the highest quality data getting published so that focus is on your results and not the methods.
