Among the many talented and pioneering scientists that will be in attendance is Dr. Janet Jansson from Lawrence Berkeley National Labs. If you've never had a chance to hear Dr. Jansson speak about her many projects involving environmental metagenomic and proteomics, or the gut microbiome, here is your chance.
Janet will be speaking at an evening seminar held at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Convention Center, Monday, May 24, 2010. The doors open at 7 pm with an open cash bar and hot hors d’oeuvres (all guests will receive a complimentary cocktail) with the seminar beginning shortly after. In addition, all attendees will be entered in a raffle to win a copy of Dr. Jansson's new book, co-edited with Dr. Liu, and published by Horizon Press, "Environmental Molecular Microbiology".
The title of the seminar is: Yield, Quality, and Purity: Considerations for DNA Extraction from Complex Microbiological Samples
