Make Your Own Van Leewenhoek Microscope

A recent guest post on the Small Things Considered blog by Patrick Keeling, scholar of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research, Evolutionary Biology Program, and assistant professor, Department of Botany, University of British Columbia, explains how he built a Van Leewenhoek microscope from scratch in hopes that the process would inspire more students to become interested in microbiology.

What's great about this post is that he links to a tutorial he created so others can do the same. Click "source" to view the step by step instructions.
