The Heatley-Payne Exchange Program for Early Career Scientists is designed to benefit young scientists by giving them the opportunity to present their work overseas and experience the best of microbiology in the UK and Ireland. Managed jointly by the ASM and the Society for General Microbiology (SGM), this grant will allow an early career scientist from the U.S. to present an abstract at SGM's annual General Meeting and spend 1-3 weeks at a nearby research laboratory. The U.S. winner will attend the SGM’s Annual Spring Meeting in Dublin, Ireland on March 26-29, 2012.
