{revver}114328{/revver}

Another video by AJ Cann. This one is of Acanthamoeba polyphaga. Acanthamoeba is a family of amoebae, one of the most common protozoa in soil, and also frequently found in fresh water and other habitats. Interestingly, findings from the University of Bath demonstrate that MRSA can infect and replicate inside of Acanthamoeba polyphaga. Essentially making MRSA a viable pathogen in the natural environment. MRSA is mostly associated with hospital-acquired infections.
