With the advent of online content, where people can pick and choose what they consume, we expect audiences to be more specific than that of radio, TV and more traditional forms of communication.
One more recent form of science communication is podcasting: audio programmes which are made available for download via the web or purpose-built virtual libraries such as iTunes.
We wanted to know who was actively choosing to listen and after a year of collecting data it turns out that, yes, men are more likely to opt to listen to a science podcast.
