Happy Nerdy Holidays

I recently have come across a blog written by a biological anthropologist who is currently a stay at home mother to her little girl. A favorite hobby of hers is baking and her blog chronicles her culinary adventures, which much to my delight includes science themed baked goods like cookies and cupcakes! I plan to make her Petri dish cookies when I go visit my family over the holidays, it will be a fun and interactive activity/lesson for my 6 year old niece (never too early to start indoctrinating them). If you are looking for a fun and educational cookie/cupcake recipe go check out Ms. Humble's blog "Not So Humble Pie" and have a wonderful holiday season!

  1. Cool idea, Karen!
  2. Thanks for sharing this. The idea of eating a petri dish cookie seems a little dangerous to me, LOL. I also dug around on the site and found the sugar cookie recipe is from (Martha Stewart). I may try to make these over the weekend.
  3. Oh I missed this, happy 2010 for all.
