Thesis work on mycology for the degree of PG in Medical Microbiology.

IMG_0016.JPG
My name is Sangeeta Khadka and i am from Nepal. I am a PG level student at St. Xavier's College. Recently, i have been doing my thesis work on mycology in Nobel Hospital and Research Centre for the degree of PG in Medical Microbiology.

This is a picture of different Candida species isolated from clinical specimen and characterize by the Chrome agar test. The clinical isolates of different Candida species were sub-cultured on Chrome agar and incubated for 48 hours at 35C (degree Celsius) after which they gives different color.
Chrome agar test will be used for identification of different Candida species and detect any mixed colonies. This method is based on differential realease of chromogenic breakdown products from various substrates following differential exo-enzyme activity.
Here, in the picture shown, Light green color indicates Candida albicans, Pink color indicates Candida glabrata, and Blue color indicates Candida tropicalis.

I hope u will like my work...and post it...:)
